Wednesday, October 24

When we first got to the hospital this morning, Jer was a bit "down"--he has been waiting to see a dentist to help try and secure his front tooth, and he has been told that they were taking the spinal drain out today--well, guess what--no on the dentist and no on the drain. He can't start physical therapy with the drain, so again no gym. But, by the time Ron and I left the hospital at 8:00 p.m. tonight, his spirits were up quite a bit--he got his teeth "fixed" and they sent the physical therapists up to talk to him and also the occupational therapists. Again they say they will remove the drain tomorrow--hopefully this is for real!! Jer's friends continue to come and see him daily, and his sisters have been fantastic--but then everyone knows how they love their "little" brother!! Everyone has been fantastic, and we are very appreciative of all the support! I can tell you that even from Syracuse, we can "feel the love". I don't know if I an overusing the words, but THANKS SO MUCH!! We love you all and I think we will see your prayers working as we progress through this. I continue to look for the best therapy place for Jer with his injuries--thank you all for the suggestions we are checking them all out! Carm

Good to hear that his spirits picked up, and we all know how those damn doctors are, and this is par for the course so far, saying one thing, and then not doing it until the next day. Bastards.... maybe I should have brought Jer those squirt guns to keep everyone in line.

With Love,
Adam

Jeremy, Carm, Ron & Girls,
Just heard about the blog yesterday. We've been praying daily for Jeremy's recovery. Believe in miracles! - they can and do happen. Jeremy - you're a great young man and I believe you've got the strength and courage to face this new challenge. God doesn't give us anything he thinks we can't handle - he's there every step of the way helping us handle what we've been given. Carm - please let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you and your family. Love, Jane & Steve Ike and Michael Coyle

Jer,
Just like everyone we just wanted to let you know that we think about you constantly. There is not one second that goes by that I am not asking god to help you, me, the family to get through this. I do not need to tell you that you are a "rock" when it comes to getting through tough times, You have heard that from everyone. What you need to do now is work hard at rehab (well when you can finally get there) and keep up the good spirits!
You know me, I dont cry in front of people and now you have joined the tiny yet elite few that can get me to do that(you and Macelyn). Know that she is in Heaven sitting on Gods lap pestering the crap out of him(as only the Hoyt Children can do) to keep him on track with your recovery. No you could not get away without an inspirational poem:

During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I Carried You."
Know that Macelyn is on his shoulders as he carries you giving him directions.
We love you
blah, blah, blah you get the point.

I Pray night and day for Jer's full recovery.I truly believe that he will recover from all of his wounds. The sampling of that is Zach's wrist. No one knows exactly what the injury was but it is healed. You see the only one that knows Zach's and Jeremy's diagnosis and prognosis is THE GOOD LORD.HE has the power to heal Jeremy and I believe He will. Both of them need our Prayers. God Bless You All !!! Eliza

Glad to know Jer got some of his old spirit back. I think that he felt a little better after Angie cut his hair, too. Maybe we'll see a little more of that smile now, too, thanks to the dentist. Hang in there and keep the faith. I BELIEVE!!
