Hi Again

Ron and I decided that we needed to put another post on today to update some more information. On Monday, Ron was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. According the the websites I've been on, it is a disease that one can live with forever if properly treated. We have begun the treatment process (pills he will take at home) with hopes that it will put the leukemia in remission in a short time. He feels good, and has permission from the doctors to do whatever he feels like doing when it comes to work. He will take the rest of this week off, and then go back to bus driving next week, and working on the farm.
It was certainly a blow to our family again, but as we said after Jer's accident, we will survive and thrive with all the love and friendships we have. The family is strong and our faith will help us get through these hurdles that we have been handed. Once again, we ask that you keep us in your prayers. Thanks Carm

To the Hoffman Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you always! You have been through some very hard and trying times these past few months. But you have continued to come out with your heads up and smiles on your faces. Your family is an inspiration to many! With your faith, love and devotion to one another you will once again make it through yet another trying time. As I say "Live in today, remember yesterday and look forward to tomorrow!" Keep your heads high and stay strong!

Just like we are there for Jeremy, we are here for Ron, also. I am sure that all of our continued prayers will bring about two positive outcomes......with all of the love you guys have as a family and all of the love you receive from friends, aquaintances, extended family, etc., there is nothing you can't accomplish. We love you all....our thoughts are with you.

Ron, Carm and family.....Things happen to us for a reason. Sometimes we know right away and sometimes we don't. God doesn't put us in these situations for the heck of it. He wants us to do something. I have been praying for your whole family since Jer's accident and I will continue. You are family and family sticks together. If there is anything that I can do please don't hesitate to ask.

You can get through this. I see it every day. Just know that we are out here doing all we can to fight this disease.
